Sandra “Sandy” Marlene Cayton Richard, 79, passed away December 5, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Sandy’s family will be having a Celebration of Life in her memory which will be held private and by invitation only. However, if you would like to attend, please do not hesitate to contact either her daughter, Kelley Smith or her grandson, William Smith. Sandy was born in Mobile, Alabama on December 1, 1946, to the late Kendal Lee Cayton and Helen Christine Oxyner. Sandy was a Clerk of the City of Mobile Municipal Court in Mobile, Alabama. Sandy was always smiling, fun-loving, cheerful, confident, big hearted, passionate, beautiful and wonderful to be around. Sandy loved spending as much time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and she loved having her sleepovers with her #1 sister and her closest friends. She also loved shopping, photography, going to the movies, going dancing, hanging out with her besties or girlfriends from work. One of her favorite past times was going with her sister, Bobbie, on their cruises especially to Isla Mujeres, Mexico. She now joins her husband, Ron, her mom, her dad, and her baby sister as our angel to watch over us all. Sandra M. Cayton Richard is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald J Richard; her father, Kendal Lee Cayton; her mother, Helen Christine Oxyner; and her baby sister, Dixie Rosanna Cayton. Left to cherish her memories are her sister, Barbara “Bobbie” Pernod; her son, David Oglesby (Melissa “Missy”); her daughter, Kelley Smith (Billy); grandchildren, Timothy Chaisson, William Smith 111 (Ashley White), Christian Smith (Reagan), Savanna Smith (Michael Abba Jr); great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Chaisson, Aubrey Ladnier, Elijah Shane Smith; nephews, Kendal Pernod (Valerie), S.
