Sandra Kay Richards

Sandra Kay Goodwin Richards was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to Dorsey Goodwin and Vatrine Storey Goodwin on December 20, 1939. She graduated from Pensacola High School in 1958, and married Vaughn Richards in 1963. She loved the Lord, and taught Sunday School and Children's church for many years. She retired as an accountant then became a caregiver to so many up until a little before she passed away. She was a member of Brentwood Assembly of God, and also attended Wednesday services at Parkview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, David Goodwin, her husband, daughter Angela Kay Richards, and great granddaughter, Arabella Vaughan. And special family member and pet, Biscuit.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Pace, and one son, Kenneth (Lila Anne) Richards; grandchildren, Clifford Roberts, Wanda (Joshua) Vaughan, Christopher Richards, Jason Richards, David (Rachel) Richards, Michael Richards, Emily Aultman, Daniel (Hannah) Stevens, and Ashley Richards Atchley. Great grandchildren include Taylah Roberts, Hailey, Savannah, and Novalee Vaughan; Jasmine and Mykal Rolin, Preston and Taylor Frost, Sadie and McKinzley Wilson, Braxton and Harper Stevens; Irelyn, Clara, and Olivia Atchley and Ethan Atchley. And close friend of Jason- (Misty), and of Michael- (Makenzie). And very special and close friend Ashley Geri.
Pallbearers are Clifford Roberts, Joshua Vaughan, Christopher Richards, Jason Richards, Michael Richards, and Tim Knowles and stand in Terry Knowles.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 18th, at 11 am with Faith Chapel Funeral Home South directing and Pastors Kenneth Martin, Lee Tate and William Chancery officiating. Interment will follow at Clopton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 17th from 5 pm to 7pm.
A time for fellowship with family will follow interment at Parkview Baptist Church.
