Sandra Marie Roberts, a native of Biloxi, Ms. and resident of Vancleave, Ms. was born June 19, 1954, to Edith Mount and Sebastian Acevedo. She departed this life on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at home peacefully.
Sandye lived an amazing life where she accomplished many goals throughout her life. Some of these things include writing and publishing 6 books, marketing director for a 5-star resort, owning her own hair salon, becoming an ordained minister and founder of Halos Investigations, Inc., a company that searched for missing and trafficked individuals.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and devoted friend to all that she encountered. She leaves to cherish her legacy and precious memories to her daughters, Stephanie Wheat (Charles) and Selena Prevost; stepson Ricky Spratley; her 5 original angels (grandchildren)– Chris Miller, Nicole Miller, Tiffany Lewis, Monica Wheat and Chase McMillian, adopted grandchildren – Kelvin Brown, Janay Jackson, Shug Turner, Linda Brewster, Joel Jr. and Hope Prevost; great-grandchildren – Christian Miller, Joseph Kiel, Chris Miller Jr., Jaliyah Kiel, Selena Wheat, Dakota Bragg Jr., Cepeda Lewis III and two more that we are awaiting arrival; One lifelong friend, Lynne Ann Pfundstein (Las Vegas); devoted Aunt – Linda Schonowitz; and sister – Connie Acevedo. Her caretakers and “grand-daughters” – Aladyce and Carlena – she was most grateful for you in her moments of vulnerability and illness. Bring those words of encouragement, raised, shaking fists and kindness with you forever.
She is preceded in death by mother- Edith Mount, father - Sebastian Acevedo, adopted father - Morris Mount; oldest daughter - Luana Miller and longtime loving friends – Eva Beaugez and Debbie Loveless and siblings – Charles and Jeannie Acevedo. Sandye also leaves her entrusted wisdom and words of encouragement to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Halos family and friends.
The family will be hosting her memorial service on Friday, December 12, 2025 at D'Iberville Recreation Center at 1:00 PM, 10706 Kajja Dr. D'Iberville, MS. The family will be accepting any food or flowers deliveries between 10:00-12:00 on Friday at the location listed.
