She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Rosemary (nee Kusman) Crites.
She is survived by her husband, Antonio "Tony" Roman; children, Terry Turnbull and Andrew Roman; daughter-in-law Carie Roman; grandchildren, Colby (Elizabeth) Burke, Sara Roman, Christopher Roman, Joshua Turnbull and Orion (Journey) Turnbull; along with 8 great-grand children and numerous other extended family and friends.
Sandy was a caring and devoted soul who always put her family first, ensuring they felt loved and cherished. She had an incredible ability to make friends wherever she went, connecting with people through her warmth and kindness. Sandy had a flair for decorating, transforming spaces into beautiful and welcoming environments, and she found joy and peace in her garden, nurturing life with her green thumb. Her presence brought light and love to all who knew her, and her legacy of compassion and creativity will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Family and friends can review and share stories, photos and condolences online at www.stlfuneral.com and follow details of this event and others in the community at www.facebook.com/stlchapelhill.
