Sandra Sue Sadler, 73, of Wylie, Texas passed away on October 25, 2025 peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Sandra was born July 25, 1952 on Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, the daughter of William Henry Smith and Eva Lou Nivison. Sandra graduated from Humboldt High School in 1970, then went on to University of Tennessee for a year. Sandra joined the Air Force in 1972, following her Father's example. She served this country during the Vietnam War until honorably discharged in 1975. She always joked about how she had to learn how to gulp food down since they didn't give much time for meals in the Mess hall.
Sandra married Stephen Sadler on May 20, 1972 at Shreveport, LA. She met her husband while they both served in the Air Force and was married for 10 years.
Sandra was a partner in her own successful turnaround management consulting firm for twenty-one years. She was known for her sharp insight, strong work ethic, and her remarkable ability to bring calm and clarity to complex situations.
Sandra was a voracious reader and a talented author who published two romantic comedy novels, each reflecting her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. She also shared an interest in British history with her Mother and late Father whom traveled together to England to learn even more. Sandra especially loved to make jewelry, a passion that was shared by her Mother. She made some beautiful pieces that will be handed down within the family in loving remembrance.
Remaining to cherish Sandra's memory is Eva Smith her mother who is 93 years young, her sisters, Linda Fertig and Lisa James and her husband Jesse, her nephew Brandon James and his wife Amanda and her children, Grace and Lillian, and her niece Christina James and her husband Patrick Shea.
Sandra's generosity and unwavering love for her family will not be forgotten. She was a proud Aunt to Brandon and Christina and helped to raise them as if they were her own children. Preceding Sandra in death is her Father, William H. Smith whom she joined in heaven in his loving arms.
A Celebration of Sandra's life will be held Saturday, November 8th at 3:00 p.m. at Evergreen at Richardson. Interment will be held at a later date in Tiplersville MS Cemetery and her Burial will include Military Honors.
