Sandra "Sandy" Jean Fry, 74, of Great Falls, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
She was born in Nyack, New York, on June 3, 1951, the daughter of Russell "Ray" Beck and Ruth Beck, and grew up alongside her brothers, Bill LaFrancois of Great Falls and Ray Beck of Florida.
On February 22, 1969, Sandy married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Fry. Together they raised two sons who were the apple of her eye, Richard Fry (Steve) of Ogden, UT and Russ Fry (Paula) of Great Falls. Sandy was also a proud grandmother to Elena Fry of Rockford, IL, Josh and Jake Horner of Great Falls, and Sean Merkley of West Valley City, UT. A delighted great-grandmother to Ellie and Jett.
Over the years, Sandy held a variety of positions in retail and sales management, including time with Sears and other companies. One of her favorite positions was spent alongside Bob, park caretaker while she was the park ranger at Placid Lake, MT "Their Happy Place." Above all, Sandy's favorite role was that of homemaker, wife, and devoted dog mom to her beloved. JD.
She loved being surrounded by family and friends. Whether she was playing bingo, fishing, camping, cooking, or listening to music with Bob, she found joy in simple moments. Time spent with her granddaughter, Elena, while she was growing up held a special place in her heart. Sandy had a gift for cooking, always adding her own touches to make every meal special. She made friends easily, talking to everyone she met, and leaving warmth wherever she went.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bill.
Sandy will be forever loved, deeply missed, and fondly remembered. The time shared with her, whether long or brief, will continue to be appreciated and celebrated by all who knew her.
