Sandra "Sandy” Glynn, age 64 of Faribault, MN passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Allina Health Faribault Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Sandra Ann, the daughter of Jerome “Jerry” and Carole (Donkers) Schweisthal, was born on December 30, 1960 in Owatonna, MN. Sandy grew up in Faribault and graduated from Faribault High School with the Class of 1979. She worked as a CNA at various nursing facilities starting at 16 years old. She met the love of her life, Mark Glynn, at the Nerstrand Halloween Dance and they later married on October 3, 1981 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. In her early years, Sandy enjoyed playing volleyball and softball. In her later years, she enjoyed being outside, doing yardwork, spending time with her grandchildren, decorating her kid’s houses, and playing board games and card games with her family.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Mark; children, Kelly (Shawn) Johnson and Bryan (Rose) Glynn; grandchildren, Alexys (Micah) Johnson, Tristin (Mackenzie) Johnson, Dylan Johnson, Addison Johnson, Hunter Glynn, Abigail Glynn, and Kaylee Glynn; three great grandchildren and two on the way; mother, Carole Schweisthal; brothers, Steven (Roseanne) Schweisthal and Scott (Deb) Schweisthal; mother-in-law, Elaine Glynn nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Schweisthal and father-in-law, Dennis Glynn.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, Faribault with Bernadette Tatge officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.
Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory.
