Sandra Davis Scherm of Stuttgart left this world on March 7, 2026. She was 87 years old. She was born on Oct. 6, 1938.

Sandra is preceded in death by her husband Eugene; and also by her parents, William “Duppie” Davis and Nona Schrock Davis; her daughter, Tami Scherm Danielak; and by her brother, Ralph “Duppie” Davis.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Berg (Joe); her grandson, Joseph Stewart (Morgan); her son in law, Ron Danielak; her sister, Judy Bornhoft (Mike); her brother, Bill Davis (Bessie); her sister-in-law, Sue Davis; her great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Clark Stewart; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Sandra was a graduate of Stuttgart High School. She had a 65-year marriage to her husband Eugene Joseph Scherm and was a homemaker. She joined the Catholic Church and was a member of the St. Rose Altar Society in Carlisle and later a member of the Holy Rosary Altar Society in Stuttgart. She also was active in the Holy Rosary Scripture Study Group. She worked with the Lunch for Shut Ins and Communion for Shut Ins. Sandra sang in the choir for many years. She had a beautiful voice.

Sandra’s hobbies included Bridge, reading, crosswords and Facebook. Her activities included volunteering at the Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie, knitting and (in the past) playing tennis.

Sandra was a devoted mother and grandmother who never missed the kid’s activities. She hosted a tremendous number of holiday meals. She was always known as someone who “tells it like it is” and she was loved for that.

There will be a rosary at 5:30 p.m. and a visitation at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at Turpin Funeral Home. A funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday, March 16, with burial to follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
