Jodi, Randy and Ron.. you and your family were given a legacy! Your mom so believed the value of teaching young children about Jesus. My children reaped the benefits of her beliefs. She was at the funeral when my girls lost their first grandparent, a friendly face in a sea of strangers. She also gave up on a wayward parent who kept getting hung up after church (usually talking) and started bringing my youngest upstairs herself. (Yes that was me). But the best story occurred when I was working at the Jewish Community Relations Council. My boss, liked to throw pop quizzes. He wanted to know what the shortest verse in the Bible was. I knew the answer just not where it was located. This was waaaay before Google, so I called church. Who answered the phone? Sandy Sheppard. Of course she knew the answer. Thanks for sharing your mom with us. Mary Alice Parrish

Sandra was such a beautiful woman...inside and out. She always greeted others with her lovely smile. I will never forget her.

I always loved seeing Sandy at church, and shall miss her very much. She was a beautiful example of what a Christian should do to serve God. My deepest sympathy to her family.
