Sandra Sue Shores, Born on April 9, 1936 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to the late Eva Moore and the late Milton Moore, passed away at age 87 on September 9, 2023 in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Sandy graduated from Boulder High School in Boulder, Colorado in 1954 and attended CU Boulder. After school, she began working at United Airlines in Denver where she met her husband who was stationed at Fitzsimons Army Hospital.
Sandy married William (Bill) Shores on April 21, 1961 in California. Sandy and Bill would permanently move to Boulder, Colorado in 1969. Sandy started her career at United Airlines, and would later work at Safeway in Boulder, and as a travel agent in Boulder for over 30 years. She dearly loved to travel the world, and helped others to do the same. Sandy retired in 2018. She also enjoyed sailing with friends, traveling with her family, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband William Shores. Sandy is survived by her sons, Scott Shores of Highlands Ranch and Mike Shores of Broomfield: and grandchildren, Brittany Shores of Broomfield, Hannah Shores of Broomfield, Nicole Shores of Broomfield, and her brother Milton Moore of San Manuel, Arizona. Our memories of Mom will forever be in our hearts
The funeral Home will be Rundus Funeral Home in Broomfield. There will be a graveside service for family and friends at Green Mountain Cemetery, 290 20th Street, Boulder, Colorado on Wednesday September 13, 2023 at noon.
If anyone wishes to donate in Sandy's memory, she would have chosen Children's Hospital in Denver, CO because of her granddaughter Brittany.
