Sandra Slade Obituary
WEST MANCHESTER -- Sandra Jane (Line) Slade, age 86, of West Manchester, OH, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025 at the Brookdale Englewood in Englewood, OH.
She was born March 17, 1939 in Euclid, OH to the late Glenn Line and Helen Cynthia Aydelott and her parents who raised her, Rolan and Lucille Eliker.
She was the proud wife of longtime Preble County farmer, Richard D. Slade whom she married on June 1, 1957. Together they volunteered in the early days of the Preble County Pork Festival, were members of the Farm Bureau and members of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Richard Slade in 2018, and her son Bradley Slade in 1971.
Sandy is survived by her sons Brent (Anita) Slade of West Manchester, OH and Brian (Lisa) Slade of Arcanum, OH; daughter Betsy (Greg) Lock of West Manchester, OH; grandchildren: Kevin (Stacey) Elliott, Kellie Elliott, Jordan (Amanda) Slade, Mycaela (Tyler) Blevins, Brooklynn (Trent) Tomlin, Allyson Lock, Shelby Slade, Emma Slade and Bradyn Lock; great grandchildren: Kiara Elliott, Jayden Elliott, Jason Sneed, Jr., Kyle (Kona) Elliott, Jazlynn Horton, Kaelyn Slade, Lynae Blevins, Barrett Tomlin and Cameron Tomlin; and sister-in-law Delores Unthank.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church, 3147 US Route 40 East, Lewisburg, Ohio 45338 with Pastor David Brisker officiating. Burial will follow at Castine Cemetery in Castine, OH. Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be sent to DayCity Hospice or Alzheimer's Association of Miami Valley Chapter.
