Sandra Slayton Obituary
A very loving and kindhearted woman, she was very giving; was a member of Steadfast Baptist Church in Hodgenville and a former member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church near Mount Sherman. She worked for more than 17 years at Stop-N-Shop in Magnolia and several years at Fruit of The Loom in Campbellsville
Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Libby Graham Metcalf Moyer; her grandparents, Willie and Mary Jarvis Lawrence; and a special cousin, David Benningfield.
Survivors include her husband, Sammy "Bo" Slayton; a son, Stephen Slayton of Versailles; two grandchildren, Lily and Ethan Slayton; a sister, Sharon Graham Ellenson of Elizabethtown; and the Benningfield cousins, Roger, Donnie and Coleen.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 14, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with the Rev. Rodney Troutman and Brother Shannon McCubbins officiating. Burial follows in Mount Moriah Church Cemetery.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continues at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
