Sandra Blanche Smith, a beloved matriarch and dedicated caregiver, departed this earthly realm on December 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, laughter, and countless memories. Born on June 11, 1964, in New Orleans, Louisiana, she moved through life with an essence that radiated warmth and an unwavering heart of gold.

Sandra, affectionately known as "Maw," embraced the role of a mother figure not only to her own children but to the entire family, extending her nurturing spirit and kindness to all. Her love for her grandchildren was palpable, marked by a vibrant energy that filled the air whenever they gathered. Whether cooking up her signature dishes or reveling in spirited games of cards and dominoes, Sandra found immense joy in the company of her loved ones. The laughter and cheer that she spread were infectious, reminding everyone that life is to be cherished, celebrated, and enjoyed.

A proud Certified Nursing Assistant, Sandra’s compassionate disposition made her a revered figure in the medical field. Her career was not just a job; it was a testament to her devotion to caring for others. She gained the admiration of those she worked with and served, touching lives with her nurturing nature and spiritual grounding, as she loved God deeply and carried her faith in her heart.

Sandra's vibrant personality shone through in all that she did. Known for her feisty spirit and sense of humor, she brought joy to each moment and left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to encounter her. Her passions included dancing to the rhythm of her favorite tunes, which she could often be seen enjoying during family gatherings, and trying her luck at casinos—each visit promising stories that would become part of her family’s cherished history.

She is survived by her loving husband, Timothy Smith, her devoted sons, Michael Morris and Timothy Smith, Jr., and her cherished daughters, Timberly Smith and Sherma Morgan. She leaves behind six siblings—Samuel Williams, Albert Morgan, Jr., Ronnie Morgan, Terron Morgan, Tyrus Morgan, and Prestonia Choice—as well as fourteen adoring grandchildren. A beloved nephew, Donavon, grieves her loss along with a host of nieces and nephews who were enriched by her presence.

In the tapestry of life, Sandra was a thread of gold—her kindness, humor, and lively spirit will echo through the hearts of her family forever. The world feels a little dimmer without her radiant smile, but her influence will continue to inspire and uplift those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Family and friends are invited to honor her memory at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas. A viewing will be held on December 29, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a prayer service from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Sandra’s funeral service will take place on December 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM, where we will gather to celebrate a life beautifully lived and the love that continues to surround her.

Forever loved, forever missed, and eternally cherished, Sandra Blanche Smith's spirit will remain a guiding light for all who knew her.
