Sandra Carolyn Stowers, age 78 of Duluth passed away on January 3, 2026. She was born in Duluth to parents, Harvey Bourdages and Patricia Falbo.

Sandra is survived by her children, Bobbie Lou Shelton, Andy Jo Shelton, Susane Marie Bright, and Heather Carolyn Grace Leo; many grandchildren and great grand children; siblings, Judy Maynard, Connie Ankarlo, Mary Atwood, Louis Bourdages, and Kathy Phillips; many extended family and friends.

Sandra earned a degree in horticulture from the Vo-tech here in Duluth. She had a "green thumb" and loved to watch things grow. She also, was a gifted seamstress. She very much enjoyed making her own clothes and did a lot of sewing for others.. She spent a large part of her life with her husband, Berlin Stowers in Tennessee. She eventually moved back to Duluth and made new friends at Heritage Apartments in Gary New Duluth. She cherished her friends and family.

Her smile, laughter and kind, generous ways will always be remembered. Along with her voice, she loved to sing and sing she would. Her friends called her Sandie, I called her Mom.

She is survived by her children, Bobby Lewis Shelton, Anthony Joseph Shelton, Susan Marie Shelton-Bright, and Heather Carolyn Grace Leo; grandchildren, Justin, Chad, and Rachel; Andrea, Jerika, and Aj; Adam, and Ashley.

A celebration of life will be posted and held at a later date.
