Sandra Lee Straka

Sandra Lee Straka, 73 years old, of North Chelmsford, MA died on April 28, 2015. "Sandy", daughter of the late Chester and Alice Coffing of Cheyenne, WY, loving wife of the late Peter Straka, passed away due to complications from COPD/emphysema. She is survived by five children, Keith and his wife, Leslie, Russell; Collette (Russell) and her husband, James Chase; Desiree (Russell) Adkins; Lance and his wife, Kim, Russell; Chris and his wife, Kathleen, Straka. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Fisher and her brother, Bruce Coffing. Daughter of an Air Force Master Sergeant, Sandra was born in Montana but lived in a variety of places, including Panama and Italy. She started her career in the Air Force with administrative responsibilities but moved on to having a successful career at Digital Equipment Corporation. After her retirement, Sandra with her husband, Pete, spent time at various flea markets and garage sales looking for the "best deals" they could find – for themselves and family members. For a period of time, Sandra was also actively involved in selling items on eBay – meeting new friends along the way. She was a world traveler and enjoyed experiencing new cultures and foods. Special thanks to the staff at Lowell General and all of those who kept her in your thoughts and prayers. At her request, in lieu of a service, there will be a celebration of her life later in May.
