Sandra Kay Sutton, a cherished long-time native of Odessa, Texas, and current resident of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on September 29, 1949, Sandra was a beloved member of her community, known for her warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit.
Sandra dedicated herself to her passions, particularly her love for horses and animals, especially dogs. She found joy in collecting dolls, sewing, and antiquing, all hobbies that reflected her creativity and appreciation for beauty. Her enthusiasm for life and her interests inspired those around her and brought happiness to many.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Jerry Sutton; their son, Thomas L. Sutton; and her cherished grandchildren, Seth Sutton, Taylor Sutton, and Connor Sutton. Also among her survivors is her daughter-in-law and caregiver, Erica Sutton, who provided loving support during her later years.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Baxter and Bernice Winningham, as well as her siblings, Linda, Wayne, and Phillis. Each of these individuals played an important role in her life, shaping the person she became and the legacy she leaves behind.
With profound gratitude, the family thanks Gentiva Hospice for their exceptional care during Sandra's final days. Special thanks are extended to Steven, Ashlen, and Raven for their dedicated service, as well as to Madonna and Chris for their invaluable help and kindness during this time.
Sandra Kay Sutton will be remembered not only for her passions and interests but also for the love she bestowed upon her family and friends. Her vibrant spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
