Mrs. Sandra Denby Tomberlin

Mrs. Sandra "Sandy" Denby Tomberlin, 67, of Sylvester died Sunday October 7, 2012 at Sylvester Health Care. The funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday October 10, 2012 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Providence Cemetery with Rev. Brad Hughes officiating. Mrs. Tomberlin was born on October 27, 1944 to the late Grady Elton and Mary Louise Linder Denby in San Antonio TX. She has lived in Worth County most of her life. Mrs. Tomberlin was formerly employed with Southern Bell and the Worth County Board of Education as a para-professional. She enjoyed cross stitching and was a very active band parent. Mrs. Tomberlin was an active member of Terrell Baptist Church where she enjoyed Sunday School and loved her family. Survivors include her daughter, Julie Black (Jason) of Shingler; sons, Alan Tomberlin (Lynn) of Winston, GA, David Tomberlin (Beth) of Sylvester; grandchildren, Cody & Kasey Black, Austin, Bethany, Morgan & Jennifer Tomberlin; sisters, Linda Bodrey (Johnny) of Americus, Barbara Youngblood (Jerry) of Tifton, Karen Roberts (Mike) of Sylvester, and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM at Banks Funeral Home.
