Mrs. Sandra Burris Vinson, age 74, wife of James “Jimmy” Vinson of 616 Brown’s Creek Rd., Union, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Mrs. Vinson was born in Union, December 12, 1951, a daughter of the late Adam Lee Burris and Eula Brannon Burris. She was a loving homemaker but had held many part-time jobs over the years. Mrs. Vinson was a member of Tanglewood Baptist Church and loved to fish and work crossword puzzles.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Stephanie Vinson Duncan and husband Ray of Lockhart; a son, Michael Vinson and fiancée Crystal Johnson of Union; two sisters, Lynn Ivey and husband Ben and Marlene Jennings all of Union; and a brother, Ted “Rooster” Burris of Union. She is also survived by grandchildren, Megan Leigh Duncan, Travis Ray Duncan, Sierra Vinson, A.J. Vinson, and Blake Johnson; and great grandchildren, Rylee O’Dell, Aiden Duncan and Carter Duncan. She was predeceased by a grandson, James Adam Duncan and two brothers, Ronnie Eugene Burris and James David Burris.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Ricky Cook. Burial will follow at Lockhart Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home of her son, Michael Vinson, 318 N. Boyce St., Union.
