Sandra K. (Frenk) Walker, 81, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
Sandra was born in Harvard, IL on January 29, 1944, the daughter of John and Gertrude (McConnell) Frenk. She graduated from Harvard High School, Class of 1962. Sandra married Joseph F. Walker on April 16, 1966, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvard, IL, where they attended services. Joseph passed away on September 19, 2024.
Sandra enjoyed spending time making memories with her family, whether it was at the cabin up north on Lost Lake in St. Germain, WI or at her home in Rockford. She was a wonderful cook who devoted her life’s work to making delicious food for others. Sandra loved watching movies at home and was a great fan of Elvis Presley and the Chicago Bears. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving relatives include her sons, Bradley (Heather) Walker and Marcus (Karen) Walker; grandchildren, Addison Walker, Kevin, Tyler and Tommy Walker; brother, Ronald (Elaine) Frenk and sister, Pamela (Bob) Taunis; numerous nieces and nephews. Sandra is predeceased by her parents; husband, Joseph Walker and a brother, Ken Frenk.
A Celebration of Sandra’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 504 E. Diggins Street, Harvard, IL 60033. A luncheon will immediately follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
