Sandra “Sandy” Warner was born on June 4, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Patricia (Nash) Williamson. Sandy was a caring wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend that left this world suddenly on October 10, 2022 at age 66.

Dear wife of Gregory Warner, mother of Tessa (Jacob) Ringe, and sister of Neal Williamson, Laura (Gasper) Genovese, and Gloria (Gary) Steele. She was a sister-in-law to Jim Dalton and Phillip Warner. Sandy was preceded in death by her sister, Marlene Dalton and nephew Steve Warner.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews including Anthony (Colette) Genovese, John (Saskia) Genovese, Blake Steele, Dovey (Ryan) Elliott, Audrey (Kevin) Gillen, Jason Dalton, Jamie (Anne) Dalton, Doug (Ann-Marie) Warner, and Rebecca (Paul) Stockstill.

Sandy graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in 1974.  Then she worked at the Unemployment Office for the State of Michigan for 20 years. On October 26, 1985, she was married to Gregory Warner after dating since 1979. Sandy retired in 1994 to raise her only daughter, Tessa.

In 2006, Sandy came out of retirement to work for 10 years as a Special Education Paraprofessional for Plymouth Canton Community Schools after receiving a certificate in Early Childhood Education from Schoolcraft Community College.

Countless memories were made traveling with her family to Walt Disney World, and her last trip was made just two weeks prior to her passing. Sandy’s childhood dream to vacation in Florida was fulfilled, and she loved the warm weather and sunshine. Sandy also enjoyed camping, volunteering, shopping, sewing, and cooking in her free time. Animals and children were her greatest passion including her pet, “Winnie”. Sandy’s selfless nature was abundant and constant, which will be dearly missed.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home (located at 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, MI 48170) on Sunday, October 23 from 2:00pm-7:00pm for a memorial gathering. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 24 at 4:00pm followed by dinner at the Italian American Club of Livonia (located at 39200 Five Mile Rd, Livonia, MI 48154).
