Sandra Westfall Obituary
Sandy, a beacon of compassion and fierce strength, gently passed away on February 20th, 2024, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.
Sandy began her career as a licensed practical nurse, demonstrating her commitment to caring for others and making a positive impact on those in need. Over time, she furthered her education and became a registered nurse, expanding her skills and knowledge to better serve her patients with compassion and expertise. In her final career, Sandy pursued a new path as an attorney, using her legal acumen towards advocacy, embodying her lifelong dedication to helping others in a different capacity. In her later years Sandy's focus shifted to caregiving towards her parents, Bill and Ann Liggett, embodying the same selfless and unwavering commitment that had defined her life's work.
Sandy found her partner and love of her life, Chris, who stood by her side with unwavering loyalty and devotion until her passing. Their love was a testament to the enduring power of companionship and support, providing Sandy with strength and comfort during her most challenging days.
Throughout her life, EVERY family member relied on Sandy for some sort of guidance, medical advice, financial assistance, or legal services. Sandy was a trusted source of wisdom, comfort, and support for her loved ones, always ready to lend a listening ear, offer sound advice, and provide expert care. The family turned to her in times of joy, sorrow, and distress, knowing that Sandy would always be there to offer resolution.
After the passing of her parents, her family dynamic shifted, but those who remained stayed strong together, drawing strength from the foundation of love and support that had been achieved by family values instilled from her parents. Through the trials and tribulations of life, the family stood united, offering unwavering support and comfort to Sandy as they navigated her own journey.
As the family rallied around Sandy in her time of need, the bond between them only grew stronger, a testament to the enduring power of love and unity. Their unwavering support and care mirrored the selflessness Sandy had shown to others throughout her life, creating a circle of love and compassion that sustained her through her final days.
Sandy leaves behind an impact on the hearts of many, a testament to a life well-lived in the service of others. Her legacy of love, service, and devotion will forever be cherished and remembered by all who were touched by her kindness and generosity.
Rest in peace, dear Sandy. The lessons in life of family members being true to each other opened the eyes of those who remained loyal and true to themselves in the end, a testament to the enduring power of love, unity, and authenticity. Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ann Liggett, and brothers, Albert Liggett, Charles Yarnell and David Schutt. She leaves behind her sisters, Barbara (Pedro) Farias and Jerilyn (John) Colvin, brother, Michael Yarnell, three disaffected brothers, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, cherished friendships, and her furry companions, Maxie and Rattie.
In lieu of donations or services, the family of Sandy kindly asks that you take a moment to cherish your loved ones, embrace meaningful relationships and live your life to the fullest. May Sandy's spirit inspire us all to appreciate the beauty of life and the people around us. Online condolences to reebfuneralhome.com.
