In her final career, Sandy pursued a new path as an attorney, using her legal acumen towards advocacy, embodying her lifelong dedication to helping others in a different capacity. In her later years Sandy's focus shifted to caregiving towards her parents, Bill and Ann Liggett, embodying the same selfless and unwavering commitment that had defined her life's work.
Sandy found her partner and love of her life, Chris, who stood by her side with unwavering loyalty and devotion until her passing. Their love was a testament to the enduring power of companionship and support, providing Sandy with strength and comfort during her most challenging days.
Throughout her life, EVERY family member relied on Sandy for some sort of guidance, medical advice, financial assistance, or legal services. Sandy was a trusted source of wisdom, comfort, and support for her loved ones, always ready to lend a listening ear, offer sound advice, and provide expert care. The family turned to her in times of joy, sorrow, and distress, knowing that Sandy would always be there to offer resolution.

She leaves behind her sisters, Barbara (Pedro) Farias and Jerilyn (John) Colvin, brother, Michael Yarnell, three disaffected brothers, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, cherished friendships, and her furry companions, Maxie and Rattie.
