Sandra Jean Whitlow, age 85, of Maryville, IL, born October 25, 1940 in Highland, IL, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Sandy was a graduate of Collinsville High School and attended Holy Cross Lutheran Church. For many years she and her husband were the owners/operators of HoBee's Roast Beef in Collinsville which was established by her parents, and she also had a card and gift shop, "Uniquely Yours," in Florissant, MO. She enjoyed golf, playing bridge with her friends, and dancing. Her neighbors and friends were important to her, and she loved her dogs.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Tessie (nee Pilkus) Grafe; her husband, Sherwin Whitlow, whom she married on August 25, 1962; and a sister, Susan Fiala.

She is survived by a niece, Kari Kohlmiller; great nephews Aaron and Jason Kohlmiller; a second cousin, Jack Cross; and dear friends, Mark & Mary Kay Burgess of Collinsville and their children, Adam and Brant.

Memorial visitation will be from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

A 1 p.m. memorial service will immediately follow the visitation, officiated by Rev. Dale Skeesick. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.

Memorials are suggested to the Warren Billhartz Animal Shelter and may be made at the visitation or mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville IL 62062.
