Sandra Ann Wolfe, age 68, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the R W Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Sandra, a cherished resident of Fisher, WV, was born on August 6, 1956, in Monroe, MI, to the late Donald Eugene Jonas and Violet Mary Nagel Jonas. She is preceded in death by 2 sisters and a brother. Her vibrant spirit and love will forever thrive in the hearts of those who knew her.
Sandy was an extraordinary woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her passion for gardening filled her home with beautiful blooms and delicious produce, which she loved to use in her cooking and baking for family gatherings. She was known for being an amazing host—from the days when her kids were teenagers and everyone called her “Mama Sandy,” to recent years filled with holiday gatherings and fun-filled sleepovers with her grandchildren.
An avid reader and crocheter, Sandy cherished her quiet moments at home, but she also had a zest for adventure! She relished camping in the great outdoors and enjoyed warm, sun-soaked days cruising the high seas. Music was her heartbeat; her face lit with joy when she was behind the drums, and she often talked fondly of her time as a young adult playing tunes on the accordion.
Sandy leaves behind her loving husband of 50 years, Larry Gene Wolfe, who stood by her side through thick and thin. She is also survived by her son, Jason Jonas Wolfe, and daughter, Amanda Jean Hearn (Bobby). Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren— Piper Lynn Wolfe, Jonas Hayward Wolfe, Violet Olivia Hearn, and Emery Jean Hearn —whom she adored and spoiled with love and unwavering support. She had a special bond with her dog, Luna, who was always by her side and brought her comfort and joy every day.
