Sandra Wood Obituary

Sandra lived a life defined by caring - caring for her family, for the children she cooked for at Head Start, and for every living thing that found its way onto her beloved mini-farm. Whether she was gathering eggs from her chickens, tending to her goats, or cheering on her grandchildren. She served as a Boy Scout Leader, a volunteer, and a mentor.
Sandra is survived by her seven devoted children: Tessie (Rick) O'Lessker, Lanny (Diane) Wood, John (Theresa) Wood, Vicki Huffstutler, Jesse (Crystal) Wood, Sherri (Jeff) Weir, and Shannon Wood; twenty grandchildren, Racheal Bowling, Tanya (Nick) Bradford, Robert Greene, James Greene, Nathan (Maria) Wood, Amy Mooney, Erica (KJ) Quimwood, Abby (Ben) Hernandez, Trisha Wood, Ryan (Shannon) Wood, Drew Huffstutler, Levi Huffstutler, Caitlin (Jason) Arms, Devon Wood, Chyanna Wood, Cassidy (Kegan) Bostian, Montana (Desmond) Pike, Annastasia Wood, Aierranna Wood, and Xzavier Wood; and twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and her brother, Randy Wishart.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James L. Wood; and her brothers, Danny and Daryl Wishart, whom she now rejoins in peace.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 17, 2025, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer of Walton Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Adel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 AM on Monday until the time of service.
