Sandra Kay Yates

Sandra Kay Yates, 67, of Columbia, KY passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She was born in Albany, KY on February 16, 1958, to the late Kenneth and Dora Viola Higginbotham Bunch.

Sandra was of the Pentecostal faith, and she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include three children, Melissa Coomer of Campbellsville, KY, Michael Corbin (Fiancée Cheyenne Lewis) of Glens Fork, KY and David Corbin of Columbia, KY; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two brothers Mitchell Bunch (Deanna) of Whitley City, KY and Eugene Bunch (Judy) of Columbia, KY and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings Shirley Grant, Shelby Smith, Sue Antle, Danny Bunch and Phillip Wayne Bunch.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Russell Springs City Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00am on Sunday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Bro. Jimmy Bunch will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Michael Corbin, David Corbin, Tony Hadley, Braydon Corbin, Tyler Corbin, and Gavin Crawhorn.
