Sandy Haney

Sandra Kay Haney of Charleston, Arkansas, died Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston. She was born on August 29, 1950, in Paris, Arkansas, to the late James Edward Rice and Freda Mae (Hudson) Rice. She was 73 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, J.E. Rice.
Sandy was a retired vice-president for Citizen's Bank in Barling. For many years, Sandy served as the church pianist and was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Charleston.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16th at Mt. Hope Cemetery, located north of Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. Officiating the service will be Bro. Jeff Holland.
She is survived by her children, Heath Haney and Hayley Miesner, both of Charleston; a sister, Carolyn Douglas and husband Troy of Fort Smith; a brother, Randy Rice and wife Pam of Lavaca; and two grandchildren, Isaac Miesner and Olivia Miesner.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
