Sandy Staight-Vocke, age 54 of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025. She was born March 8, 1971 in Kettering, Ohio the daughter of Larry and Barbara Kay Staight.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Kay Staight.
Sandy is survived by her father, Larry Staight; children, Patrick Vocke, Jacob (Kendall) Vocke and Braelynn McClellan; grandson, Emerson Vocke; sister, Mikki Staight; the father of her children, Eddie Vocke; and her special dog, Pepper. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Sandy worked for many years at Wright State University. She was a volunteer as a Team Mom for Eager Beaver Football and served on their board when her children played. In more recent years, she cared for her father, Larry. She was so excited to become a Grammy to Emerson. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and listening to her music. Sandy was a special person who touched the lives of those around her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family for expenses through Mikki or the funeral home.
Visitation will be Monday, July 21, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Sandy will be laid to rest next to her mother at Bethel West Cemetery following the service.
