I read the Hood College magazine this evening and saw Sara's name in the in memoriam column. I'm so sorry for your loss and I was shocked to read her name. Although we didn't keep up contact after a few years, I would think of Sara often and always knew that she would be successful in her field. We had such good times at Hood and she was an interesting, kind, and spirited person. And your wedding was lovely. I wish you and your daughter comfort and my prayers are with you.

Sara Brown was a wonderful guiding light to hundreds of young children, my youngest daughter included. I am so grateful that we ran into her a a few years back and had a chance to personally thank her again for her wonderful work. You were a very special person and we will always be grateful for your life and amazing work with children.

Our family was fortunate to get to know Sara through Jack and Jill. I could not have asked for a better first teacher for my son. She spread light and love to her students as well as their families. Many thoughts and prayers for her family during this time.

Sara was an exceptional teacher, showing joy and love to each of her students. We were lucky to have both boys have her as their teacher. Always with a smile, that is how we will always remember Sara! She will be truly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Adding to all the prayers being said for this family. I worked at Vermuelens back when Steve was manager years ago.

There are so many wonderful memories with Mrs Brown. she loved and taught both my boys. My husband and I always said, "every child should be so lucky to have their first teacher to be a "Mrs Brown". I had the privilege of getting to know her on a personal level one summer when she spent many hours and days with me working on my landscaping. A beautiful soul that will be missed! I can see her singing with the little ones in heaven and loving on them. Prayers to the family.

Both of my grandchildren had Mrs. Brown for preschool. I remember Mrs. Brown as a very kindhearted and caring woman. She will be deeply missed.

So sorry for your loss! I hope you find comfort knowing Heaven has gained another angel. Sara was truly that here on earth. She was my three children's preschool teacher and the memories we have from our days at Jack and Jill are nothing short of amazing. I can't imagine my kids having had anyone else for their first teacher. She was a gem! The impact she made on our community will live on in all her students.

Mrs. Brown was one of a kind. My three girls had her as their preschool teacher and they still talk about her. She touched a number of lives and she will never be forgotten. Whenever I think of Mrs. Brown - I immediately smile. I remember her dressing up as Cat in a Hat and a pumpkin for Halloween....the caterpillars hatching into beautiful butterflies every spring....story time...and her patient, loving way with all the children. Thank you for sharing her with us. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Mrs.Brown was my grandchildren's preschool teacher, I believe because of her soul my grandchildren love school. If all preschool teachers were like Mrs.Brown the world would be so much better.
