Sara Davis Culpepper, born on January 1, 1933, in Danielsville, Georgia, passed away on January 28, 2026, in Commerce, Georgia, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a devoted homemaker and a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer for over 50 years. Her contributions to her church and community reflected her strong commitment to service and faith.
Sara's family includes her grandchildren, Jeff Culpepper and Christy Goldman, along with four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild who will carry on her loving memory.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Will H. Davis and Rosa Lee Hayes, her husband Thomas Edgar "Ed" Culpepper, with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage, her son Mitchell Culpepper, her brother Buster B. Davis, and her sisters Julie Wood, Jewel McLendon, and Jean Strickland.
Visitation will be held on February 2nd, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ivie Funeral Home, located at 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, GA 30529. A funeral service will take place on February 3rd, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery.
Sara Davis Culpepper will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and faith will continue through her family and friends.
