Memorial Service for Ms. Sara Smith Lowe, 88, of Alexander City, will be Monday, September 8, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home. Ms. Lowe passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Adams Health and Rehab. She was born on January 13, 1937 in Alexander City, to Braxton Hugh Smith and Rose Parker Smith. She was a 1954 graduate of Benjamin Russell High School. Sara was very active in her sorority in Alexander City. She lovingly raised two boys very well. Sara was very outgoing and extremely intelligent. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Sandlin (Maria) Lowe of Maspeth, NY and Blake (Marlene) Lowe of Gulf Shores, AL; grandchildren, Christine (Laxton) Lewis, Rhett Lowe, Naomi Tinga, Joshua Lowe, David Lowe, Rachel Lowe, Hannah Lowe, Braxton (Holly) Lowe, and Elizabeth (Chris) Sacks; step-grandchildren, Wendy (Thomas) Moncus, Patrick (Amber) Kelley, and Jeremie (Shari) Kelley; great-grandchildren, Arthur Lowe, J.B. Sacks, Elliot Sacks, and Jadiah Lewis; step-great-grandchildren, Claire Kelley, Collin Kelley, Jackson Kelley, Dalton Kelley, and Jordan Kelley; nephews, Billy Smith, Gary Smith, and Craig Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Bill Smith. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor Ms. Sara and her family by taking anything that would have been spent on flowers, and spending it on your parents or loved ones. Radney Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Sara Smith Lowe.
