Sara Martinez, age 92, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 19, 2023. She was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be greatly missed. Sara is preceded in death by her husband; Emilio A. Martinez, her siblings; Juan Alvarez and Engelina Alvarez, as well as her parents; Rafael Alvarez Munguia and Elena Munguia. She is survived by her children; Guillermo Martinez (Veronica), Emilio Martinez III, and Manuel Martinez (Gloria), her seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with a Rosary to commence at 7:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. A Funeral Mass will be held at 7:30am on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 4006 Hidden Way, El Paso, Texas 79922. A Graveside Service follow at 9:00AM at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery; 4900 McNutt Rd., Santa Teresa, NM, 88008.
