Sarah Myria Lynn Burkovich
Age 27| Rochester, NY
Our beloved daughter, sister, cousin and friend passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, leaving behind a light that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Born and raised in Rochester, Sarah was the beloved daughter of Lisa and Bill Burkovich and the cherished sister of Luke Burkovich and his wife Taylor Burkovich. She was loved deeply by all who knew her — and she loved just as deeply in return.
Sarah had a gift for finding joy in the world around her. She was a devoted fan of Twilight and The Hunger Games, and the music of Maddie & Tae filled her heart. She expressed herself beautifully through art as a student of the Cobblestone Arts Center in Canandaigua, New York. She treasured her baby doll collection, loved shopping at Goodwill, and could spend a perfect day at the zoo or building a new friend at Build-A-Bear. She celebrated every holiday with the kind of enthusiasm that made the people around her feel the magic of each one.
Sarah faced life's challenges with a quiet, extraordinary courage. Though she navigated mobility limitations and often used a wheelchair, she spent months building her strength with one goal in mind — and on graduation day, she walked across that stage. It is one of many moments that tell you everything you need to know about who she was.
Her most special friend and the love of her heart was Michael.
She will not be forgotten. She will be missed every single day.
Predeceased by her grandparents, Betty and George Clark and Kathy and Michael Saporito
