Sarah Gray Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cravens Funeral Home - Sherman on Jun. 30, 2025.
Sarah Louise Gray is fondly known by her family and many friends as Sarah. She was born April 2, 1967 to James and Gean Gray. She was the youngest of seven children. Sarah's walk with the Lord began at a young age as her parents, J.O. and Gean Gray instilled in her the importance of a relationship with God. She was baptized at her home church Beach Grove Baptist in Spearsville, Louisiana. She later in life ended up at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bonham, Texas.
At the center of Sarah's life was her family. It all started in 1975 when J.O. and Gean took his wife and children on a vacation to San Diego, California. They enjoyed it so much they decided to stay. While residing in California Sarah grew up on Grey Court Ave, where she attended the Bell Junior High and won best dancer. After that she attended Morse High School and after High School she attended Cosmetology school in San Diego and then went back and received her LVN license in 2001. Sarah and John met and went on the first date to go get some Ice Cream from Baskin-Robbins and never left each other's side.
Anyone around Sarah always enjoyed her humor and joyful presence. She always had a big grin on her face. She enjoyed family get togethers, where she danced, joked, laughed and loved all of her family.
On June 27, 2025, Sarah was called into eternity to be with the Lord where she eternally united with her son Kris, parents Jame and Gean Gray and her brother Van Hunter.
Her loving and fond memories will be cherished by her Husband; John Gould, Sr., Daughters; Crystal Hunt (Calvin) of Houston, Texas, Erica Johnson of Bonham, Texas, Shanatha Gray of Junction City, Louisiana, Natoscha Gould (Eddie Traylor) of Ector, Texas, and Demetrius Gould of Kansas City, Missouri, Jasmine Gould of Kansas City, Missouri, and John Gould Jr., of St. Louis, Missouri, Two Sisters; Kathryn Coleman of San Diego, Sheila Horsley of Junction City, Louisiana, Susie (Albert) Brown of North Carolina, Two brothers; Ralph (Cynthia) Hunter of Eldorado, Arkansas, and Ricky Hunter of Houston, Texas, along with Eight Grandchildren and extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
