Sarah J. Minick

1928 - 2023

Sarah Jane Minick, 95, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in Easy Living Country Estates, Hunker. Mrs. Minick was born April 21, 1928, in Mt. Pleasant, to the late William and Mary Carlton Crossland. Sarah was a graduate of Ramsay High School, Class of 1947. She was a faithful member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, where she was a lector for more than 20 years. Sarah was a member of the St. Pius X Parish Christian Mothers, the ministry of consolation and the kitchen and festival crew. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Joe, they especially enjoyed going on cruises. Sarah was an excellent cook, who loved attending church and spending time with her family. Sarah is survived by her loving family; her sons, Joseph J. Minick Jr. (Karen), of Mt. Pleasant, and Richard Minick, of Bridgeport; her daughter, Kelly Ciminelli (Michael) of Breinigsville; and her grandsons, James and Thomas Ciminelli. Sarah is also survived by her extended family, the Flynn's, the Bevevino's and the Westwood's; and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Minick Sr., in 2011; her brothers, William and James Crossland, Joseph Russell, and her infant brother, Dicky Russell; and her sisters, Nancy Sucanic, Donna Jean Russell and Connie Paglio. Family and friends will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at GALONE-CARUSO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. A blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by her funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. Interment will follow in St. Pius X Parish Cemetery.
