Sarah Lynn (Dowker) Pierce, 50 of Gaylord, passed away much too soon on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey.
Born in Gaylord on September 26, 1973, she is the daughter of Leslie and Florence (Kitchen) Dowker. She grew up in Gaylord and was a 1991 graduate of Gaylord High School. Later she received an associates degree from Davenport University.
Sarah worked as the assistant general manager at Hampton Inn in Gaylord, an occupation she was perfectly suited for with her charismatic, outgoing personality.
Though always busy with her career and being a mom to her four children, in her spare time, Sarah enjoyed ice fishing, searching for Petoskey stones, dancing and singing including Karaoke. A kind, smart, and funny extrovert, she was always cold, but had the warmest heart. She will be remembered by her many friends and family for her love of Converse shoes, Stormy Kromer hats and Carhartts.
Sarah is survived by her four children, Bianca (Logan) Kukuk, Emily (Levi) Lancaster, Kaden Pierce, and Danica Pierce; her grandson, Theodore Kukuk; her parents, Leslie and Florence Dowker; her sister, Lisa (Mark) Zempel and their family; and her brother, Michael (Amy) Dowker and their family; and her fiancé, Adam McGhan.
Sarah’s family will visit with friends from 3:00-7:00 PM Thursday, June 13, 2024, at her home church, NORTH LIFE CHURCH, 115 East Main Street in Gaylord. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 14, 2024, at GAYLORD E-FREE CHURCH, 1649 M-32 in Gaylord, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
