Sarah Rasmussen Obituary
Sarah Rasmussen, 45 of Harwinton, CT passed away on September 14, 2024. She was born February 3rd, 1979 in Torrington, CT and graduated from Lewis S Mills High School. Sarah had a kind heart and a gentle soul. She loved art, animals and playing the piano. She was known for her artistic ability as she worked alongside her father, a leading and prominent tattoo artist in Torrington for ten years. Sarah faced challenges in her life but never lost her kind spirit and will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her three sons, Jaeden, Hunter and Dominic Rasmussen, her parents Gregory and Betty Rasmussen, sisters Dena and husband Jeremy, Janice and husband Michael, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Calling hours will be at Cook Funeral Home, Torrington, CT on Saturday, October 5th from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m..

I remember, when in hs my mother was sick. And shebeen though I was not in her group she stayed in the girls room with me while I just cried. She never said a word, she just held my hand.

My beloved niece, love you so very much. All the memories of picnics, Halloween. Christmas's and our love for each other. You playing the piano, laughing, hugs all of it I will miss. Sarah ...I will always remember you as my little cousin running after us chasing fireflies, or singing Grease songs with Marc, and playing the piano beautifully, halloween at Onna and Pip's and visits to Santa's Village. And then later on when you got your first apt. and calling me up to come fix issues you had so the landlord wouldn't try and charge you for them to be fixed....It's sad that life challenges some in ways that causes them to struggle for many years and I know for many years you struggled, and although it saddens me to think of your passing, I know that Onna was waiting for you at the pearly gates with her arms wide open to hug you close and bring you in to see all our loved ones who have gone before us, and you can be free of this world and happy once again.Rest in peace Sarah...and safe journey!!!
