Sarah “Sally” Louise Golnick, age 90, of Grayling, MI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at The Porches Assisted Living in Gaylord, MI.

Sally was born on June 30, 1935, to Frederic and Mae (Valencourt) Bishaw in Grayling, MI. She graduated as Co-Valedictorian from Grayling High School in 1953. On August 1, 1953, she married Harold “Tike” Golnick, and together they built a beautiful life with their five children and five grandchildren.

Sally worked for Bear Archery in the early 1950s before becoming the office manager for Dr. Paul Dosch in 1968, later continuing at the Family Practice Clinic until her retirement in 1991.

After retiring, Sally enjoyed spending time with Tike, their grandchildren, and traveling with her adult children. She was an avid reader and, in the summer months, could often be found on the porch with a book in hand.

Sally is survived by her children: Julie Golnick, Christopher (Linda) Golnick, Sharon (Rodney) Adkison, and Kathee (Mark) Lamberies; her grandchildren: Jamie Snyder, David Golnick, Sarah Golnick, William Golnick, and Sydnee Webber; her great-grandchildren: Brittanie Snyder, Paul Snyder Jr., Beck Golnick, Modestina Golnick, Bohdi Golnick, Bindi Golnick, and Gia Golnick; her sister, Patty Holzman; her sister-in-law, Butch Feldhauser; and her goddaughter, Penny Holzman.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Harold “Tike” Golnick; her daughter, Therese Kaiser; her sisters, Rose Duley and Jo Baker; her brothers, James and Robert Bishaw; and her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Grayling, MI, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Graveside burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in the spring.
