Our beloved mother, Sarah Frances Sheldon Goudy Walker, passed away on December 21, 2025, at the youthful age of 85. She was born on June 1, 1940, to Herbert and Lucy Sheldon in Houston, Texas, and raised in Caney, Kansas. She was residing in Oklahoma at the time of her death.

Sarah is preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Richard Goudy and Bruce Walker. She will be greatly missed by her surviving family: sister, LouAnn Bohman of Delaware, Son Mark Goudy and wife Angie of Kansas, daughter Ann Caudle of Oklahoma, 7 grandchildren, an expanding number of great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Sarah was one of a kind and a free spirit. She was a passionate lover of nature and people, someone who didn't know a stranger and would open her home and heart, regardless of the sacrifices it would cost. Her sense of adventure took her many places through her Scouting career, which began at the age of 6 and never stopped. She shared this passion with so many. She taught us to love and appreciate all of God's creations. If you knew or spent time with Sarah, you celebrated her life! She didn't step back from any experience or hesitate to share that moment with you. When you think of her, reflect on one of those incredible moments.

Whether it be sharing a song around a campfire, hunting rattlesnakes in Western Kansas, stargazing on a mountaintop, swimming or fishing in the creek, or looking for 4-leaf clover or fossils, know that was her loving life and you!

The family will have a private ceremony at a later date. If you would like to do something in her memory, please make a donation to the charity of your choice or to the Richard Goudy Scholarship at Kansas State University or the Lucy and HA Sheldon Scholarship at Pittsburg State University.

Arrangements are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home and Crematory Walker-Brown Chapel. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com
