Life of My Sweet Boy
Say'Ge Uriel Ross affectionately called "Doopie-Chug" was born on June 28, 2021 to his father Steven Ross and his grateful mother, Aiyanna Odom at 5:01 P.M. at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio weighing in at 6lbs and 6oz. His mother gave him back to God and thanked him every day for giving him to her. His life yet lived so short, was full of much love.
I prayed for someone to love me enough to stay alive, and God blessed me with his precious angel.
Say'Ge means: Wise prophet or having wisdom and knowledge
Uriel means: God is my light.
I knew in my womb my child was special. I knew he was a gift and I needed to have him so he could complete his assignment. I poured love into my boy and showed love and spread joy to everyone he encountered.
Doopie was a joy to be around and was dearly loved and cherished by many. His days consisted of waking up at 5:00 A.M. SHARP to meet his mama when she got off work, eating his favorite strawberry waffles, playing with his Spidey and Blaze toys, playing pop it on his tablet and being attached to his mama.
He loved watching Blaze and The Monster Machines and Spidey and his Amazing Friends. He loved Lion King and to sing The Lion guard songs. I remember from 2 months old to 6 months old him and I watched Lion King every day, 2 to 3 times a day. He never got tired of seeing him smile while watching it.
Doopie was a smart boy who loved playing with his aunties and uncles and facetiming his "CeCe". He loved listening to music and singing his favorite commercials really loud. Doopie knew all his ABC's and how to count to 20. He loved to share with his mama, and he loved putting down some food.
Each day he taught us something new, he taught us never to take little things for granted. Always give a big hug and kiss, sit back and live in the moment, its these well truly miss.
Doopie was called home to gain his wings on March 20, 2023 to fly high with our other angels: Leemar Sutton, Shirley Ann Sutton, Rebecca Sutton, Davontae Pipens and his Great Uncle, Lonnie Jones Jr., and Michael Glass. Before he left, he waited for his mama, my sweet boy fought all he could until mama told him "I'd be okay".
God took my baby in his arms and said, "Well done and in heaven he has forever to stay".
Although Say'Ge no longer walks with us earth side, he follows and will always be cherished in memory love and in our hearts. Not having him physically is only a feeling we must pray and grow through, he brought happiness to all our lives, he so dearly touched. Grandma always says "We have to get right with God, this isn't a goodbye... this is an UNTIL WE SEE YOU AGAIN."
