Scott Bedessem

Scott Bedessem, 60 of Wausau, passed away December 15, 2016 at his home. He was born in Wausau, Wisconsin to James Bedessem and Nancy (Chapiewsky) Bedessem. Scott was a graduate of Wausau East High School, and played defense on the hockey team. His work history includes positions at several area businesses, primarily in shipping departments, Scott also worked for the railroad. Most recently, he helped others as a handyman and pet sitter. Scott enjoyed life, his friends and family. He was an avid fisherman and inventive cook. Scott also liked watching and rooting for the Badgers and explaining what play the Packers should have called during games. Additionally, he took great pride in supporting the activities of his nieces, nephew, step-children, and step-grandchildren. Scott loved to share his opinion, and was a dependable friend. His weekly gatherings with his buddies often included lively discussions about politics, reminiscing about good times, and catching up with the events in the community—usually with Scott's love of great music playing in the background. Scott is survived by his parents, two sisters Robyn Bedessem (Tom Kelsey) of Murrieta, California, and Julie (Chris) Zelich of Grove City, Ohio; and one brother Brad (Kathy) Bedessem of Weston. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 at Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams Street, Wausau. The Rev. Wes Jedras will officiate.
