I only knew Scott through the internet, but he was an influence on me. I strive for the sharpness of wit and intellect his internet posts revealed. I'll miss him, as so many others will.
My thoughts and best wishes to Scott's family.

Scott was a man of few, well-chosen words.
Net Sword & Sword Forum have lost Scott's wit and insights.
Let's remember to keep his spirit alive.
Jonathon, he loved you and was proud of you.
In the end, those are the best gifts a parent can give.
Sincerely,
Susan Boulton

I met Scott on the "net" well, netsword. He honoured me with his friendship, helped with my research and shared many a laugh with me. I knew him to be a man that loved his family and was proud of them. He also loved the history of his country, yet could see both the good and the bad.
I will miss his stories and his wit.
To his family; my thoughts and prayers.

I'd like to extend my condolences to Scott's family and friends. I knew him from Sword Forum International, a web site we both frequented. During the three years I knew Scott I grew to have immense respect for him and looked forward to his posts. He was always helpful and informative and often humorous in his own special way. I'm sorry for our loss.

I was stunned and very sadded to learn of Scott's passing!
My sincere and heartfelt condolences to his son,Jonathan, and family.
I came to know my good friend Scott Bubar via Swordforum, and spent many an hour, thru the years, discussing history, swords, firearms, and the like!
As fathers (and New Englanders) we shared many a common bond, often discussing his Jonathan,or my Rachel,as they grew and made us so proud!
I will very much miss our talks, his presence, and all the wonderful bits that made Scott such a joy to know ! Rest in Peace, my friend! Your pal, Mac
