Thank you Scott for being there when we needed you and always checking in on me and family when we were in the emergency room. The world lost a wonderful and caring person. He will be missed.

I met you at Mel's Diner years ago, you would come in with your 3 kids. It was ALWAYS a pleasure to see you. I remember your excitement when you started refurbishing your home. I am truly heartbroken, the world lost a great guy.

Scott lived in my neighborhood and always waved whenever he drove by. I didn't know him personally but it was nice to see his friendly wave. I remember seeing him one snowy day a few years ago walking around with his shovel clearing the snow around the fire hydrants on his day off. When the weather was nice, he would walk around the neighborhood while his children rode their bikes. My thoughts go out to his children and family.

My sincere condolences go out to his family. I didn't know him well but when my father was dying of cancer, Scott had come with rescue a few times and was so helpful and even helped us get some oil so my father wouldn't be in a freezing house. He also periodically checked in on him. This is a great loss. JenniferEast Providence

It seems like a lifetime ago since I had last seen or spoken with Scott and I was shocked and saddened to hear about his passing. Scott was always kind and compassionate towards others and always with the biggest smile I'll always remember his sweet smile. It was not at all surprising to hear what an amazing and wonderful man he turned out to be and all the lives that he touched.

I would like to extend my sympathy to Scott's children, family and extended family, wishing you peace to bring you comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your heart.

Warmest condolences,

I arrived at the Broadway station one Friday afternoon in late October last year, thinking I was having a heart attack (thankfully it was just a panic attack). The guys got me into the rescue, took my vitals and away we went to Miriam. Scott stayed in the back with me and just let me talk and cry. He was so genuinely understanding, caring and kind, I felt like I knew him. He and another rescue worker even waited outside my room in the ER long after they needed to and came to check on me before they left. He made such an impression on me and I will never forget him. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

A broad smile and firm handshake preceded what was always a cheerful conversation. Right off the bat anyone would know they were in the presence of someone forthright, honest and good. This must have been of particular comfort to his many patients. The world is darkened when one of such light leaves us, but perhaps if we who knew him try to be a little brighter we may,in a small way, offset this. Scott would like that. Cousin and brother firefighter both,he will be sorely missed.
