Scott Matthew "Scotty" Guthery

It was such an honor knowing Scott as one of his teachers in alternative Ed. What a sweet and kind guy. Then, years later, our paths crossed when teaching art at Pleasant Ridge and I got to see him as Ava's caring and loving dad. You did well, Scott. You raised a wonderful human being, modeled after all of your own best qualities.

It is so sad to hear of the passing of such a young man still full of life.
Scott was such a joy to have around. I didn't know him long. He worked on a couple projects at my home, but seeing him every day for three months at a time I could see what a wonderful young man he was and how much he loved his family. I know I will think of him often, every day I look at my new beautiful kitchen that he was a huge part of.
I will say he was always open to a home cooked meal and never bashful for having seconds. He could definitely eat.
My heart and prayers go out to all who loved him.
