Scott Warren Hale, 71, of Franklin, NH, and Barefoot Bay, FL, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, with his family by his side. He was born in
Concord, NH, on July 17, 1954, to the late Warren and Joyce (Ordway) Hale.
Scott grew up in
Salem, NH and graduated from Salem High School in 1972. He then went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Plymouth State College in 1976. Shortly thereafter, Scott met the love of his life, Gail, and the two were married on June 28, 1980.
Scott spent his career as a track design engineer for TK Dyer and later was the owner of Eagle Eye Painting, where his customers brought him tremendous happiness. He enjoyed meeting new people, surrounding himself with friends and family, and documenting it all by taking countless photos and videos of occasions big and small. Scott was known throughout his inner circle for his ability to host a great party and his love for watching sports, especially the Red Sox. Scott valued experiences over things and carried that into his volunteer efforts. A beloved coach, he took the first group of players from Londonderry to Cooperstown Dream Park–a tradition that continues to this day. In addition to serving as a coach and VP of baseball for LAFA, Scott was also a coach for the Londonderry Basketball Club and an American Legion baseball coach. Additionally, he was a Lions Club member, Cal Ripken League commissioner, and served as treasurer for the Sons of the American Legion. A longtime resident of
Londonderry, NH, in May 2006, Scott was presented with the Robert W. Lincoln award in recognition of his "years of dedicated volunteer service for the youth of Londonderry." In recent years, Scott enjoyed nothing more than traveling all over to watch his grandsons play football, basketball, and baseball. This past summer, Scott was back in the dugout, coaching alongside his son, Chip, on a field named in his honor–a pretty poetic ending for a man whose legacy will live on in the hearts of his friends, family, and those who were fortunate enough to be coached by him.
In addition to his beloved wife of 45 years, Gail (Guilmet) Hale, Scott is survived by their children, Jade-Marie Lesage and her husband, David of
Manchester, NH, and Chip and his wife, Brittany, of
Londonderry, NH; his grandchildren, Chace, Andrew, Jamison, Finley, and Cooper; his sister, Ava Lavery; his brother, Tom Hale; as well as many members of his extended family.
Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 2-6 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road,
Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will follow at 6 PM, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Scott Hale Memorial Scholarship Fund. For directions or to leave an online condolence, please visit www.carrierfuneralhome.com
