Scott Harrer Obituary

Scott Allen "Fuzz" Harrer, 70, of Connellsville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He fought a courageous battle with cancer, facing it with the same resilience and strength that defined his life. He was born Jan. 18, 1955, in Greensburg, PA, son of the late Lewis A. Harrer and JoAnn Lee Mansfield Harrer of MT. Pleasant. Above all, Scott was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. For over 50 years, Scott was a dedicated business owner in the community. He lived life on his own terms, unapologetically himself from start to finish. Those who knew him will remember his strong will, his presence, and the way he left an impact wherever he went. Growing up, he spent summers and weekends at the family cabin in Friendsville, MD. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was so proud to be with his grandson for his first deer. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his grandsonstaking them to the trout farm, where they always left with a catch and a smile. Survived by his beloved wife, Bernadine Moody Harrer; daughter, Jennifer Roberts; son, Tommy and wife, Crystal Britt; daughter, Jacqueline and husband, Chad Reppert; and grandchildren, Taia, Jacob, Kaden and wife, Riley, Landyn, Kambryn, and the lights of his life, Tanner Scott his #1 and Blake Thomas his #2. He is also survived by his sisters, Debbie and husband, John Kintigh, Lori Tonecha and fiance, Jim; and baby brother, Timmy, and wife, Susan Harrer; and his special aunt, Ruthanne Collins, whom he adored; and many nieces and their families. Scott's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed. The family is receiving friends and loved ones from 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St. in Connellsville, PA, to say their last goodbyes and share in the love and life of Scott. A funeral service will be held from 11 a.m., Thursday, March 20, 2025, at BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., with Pastor Bill Gates officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. To offer a condolence or remembrance, please visit www.brooksfuneralhomes.com.
