Scott G. Johnson, 60, of Quincy, Massachusetts, passed away on May 23, 2025, surrounded by family. Born and raised in Braintree, Massachusetts, Scott was the son of the late Frank and Evelyn (Shannon) Johnson.
He is survived by his three children Lynnmarie Leung, Carly Parker, and Hannah Johnson, and five grandchildren all of Plymouth. He was the brother of Dolly Eifert of Weymouth, Cammy Purcell of Quincy, Sherianne Norton and her husband Peter of Weymouth, Evelyn Maffeo and her husband Michael of Norwood, Charlaine Corsini and her husband Paul of Braintree, Brett Johnson and his wife Brenda of Bridgewater. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Frank Johnson, Wayne Johnson, and Glenn Johnson. He was also uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Scott earned an associate degree in natural sciences in 2006 at Quincy College, and a bachelor's degree in business management in 2009 at Eastern Nazarene College. This past year he continued to enrich his knowledge by taking another class at Eastern Nazarene, and he currently enrolled himself in Newburgh Seminary College to earn a degree in ministry.
Scott worked in many different industries including retail, transportation, and food services. Scott had a love of music. He enjoyed playing songs on the piano as well as learning his favorite songs on the guitar. Scott was one to enjoy a good joke. He loved funny movies and shows and would often share in a laugh over the best parts. He will always be lovingly remembered.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, June 1st, from 4:00-7:00 PM, in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St. Braintree. Burial will be private.
