Scott Richard Johnson

Scott Richard Johnson, age 55, of Otsego, passed away on December 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with colon cancer.

Scott was born on June 11, 1970, in Manhattan, Kansas, to Diane and Richard Johnson. He made his home in Otsego, where he was known for his generous heart, steady presence, and willingness to help anyone in need.

Scott had a deep passion for cars and could often be found working on them, talking about them, or helping others with theirs-never asking for anything in return. His selflessness defined him; if someone needed help, Scott was there, no matter the time or effort required. He found genuine joy in lending a hand and making life a little easier for others.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eldon and Carol Groshens, and Hiram and Marjorie Johnson. He survived by his loving parents, Diane and Richard Johnson; his brother, Brett Johnson; his sister-in-law, Melanie Johnson; his cherished nephew and nieces, Isaiah Johnson, Lexie Johnson, and Mikaela Willgohs; his great nephews Callahan Madsen and Maverick Lucht. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Scott will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the quiet way he showed his love through action. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the countless people he helped along the way.
