I knew Scott from going to the house over the years. He was often outside working on the house or yard. He was a wonderful, dedicated Father, Uncle, Brother, Son, Friend, Coworker. I learned so much more about the person Scott was at his beautiful celebration of life. He was a really amazing person who did so much in his life. Scott will be missed by so many. Sending my deepest condolences to Nathan, Chris, Debra, Maya, Nick and the entire Macomber family. May Scott's memory be a blessing.

I was saddened to hear about Scott´s passing. Even in a place as large as BU, he had a way of making every interaction feel personal and supportive. He was truly one of the nicest people to work with. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Dear Nathan, Sue and Scott's Dear Family,
I first met Scott when Nate and my son were schoolmates at Mason-Rice Elementary. He was a kind, generous, loving and supportive co-parent. A Good Man. I am so saddened to hear this news of his passing. Please accept my condolences. May Scott's memory be a blessing.

Scott was a wonderful presence at the house. I started there as a nanny when Maya was 2 weeks old. Scott would check in when he was home to see if I needed anything. He never made me feel like an outsider.
Over the years we had some great conversations, lots of laughs and some serious discussions. He will be sorely missed.
I send out my deepest condolences to the Macomber family.

Nate and Family - I´m so sorry for your loss. Words can´t express the weight of losing a father, family member, and friend. I´ll always remember hearing about his incredible journeys to places near and far, and how he was able to visit Glacier National Park before his passing. Through his work at BU and his dedication as an EMT, he made a difference for countless people, leaving behind a legacy of service and kindness. My thoughts are with you all during this time.

Hi Nathan, I am very sorry to learn about the passing of your dad. I worked with him at BU for many years; we were great work buddies back in the day. I am pretty sure your dad and I started at BU the same year!
I moved out of town and went fully remote a three years ago and fell out of touch with your dad. I didn't know he was battling cancer :( What a bummer; that must of been so hard for all of you. I am so sorry!
Not sure if it's still in the family ,but your Dad bought my prized 2003 Toyota Tundra with the Phantom Grey Pearl paint job and the side step on the bed of the truck. He loved that truck as much as I did and I was so happy to find it the perfect home when it was time for me to move on to a rolling locker room where I could keep all my gear locked in side.
I share your dad's love of the outdoors and we shared many stories of adventures together back when we worked in the same office space. He was a bright spot for many of us in the work place for sure.
Anyway, thought I would share a fun fact with you and to let your know your dad will always hold a special place in my heart. I am so sorry for your loss, your dad will truly be missed!

I was very fortunate to get to work with Scott, who saved the day for us in the law library too many times to count. Scott worked incredibly hard, but even though he was very busy, he still took the time to explain things to me: a junior, non-technical person. I learned so much from him over the 10+ years I knew him. I was always amazed when we'd get on a Teams call that he sounded genuinely happy to hear from me, even though I was always bringing him a problem. Scott was a terrific person to work with, and we will really miss him.

A fellow AMC Deskie - what a foundational time we spent together at Pinkham. A springboard into adult life surrounded by wonderful people - like Scott. A kind, considerate, caring, funny, we can figure it out kind of guy. So glad I knew him so long ago, and love reading how his life unfolded. RIP my friend.

Surely into loving arms, he passed... I am grateful for the celebrations shared with the Byer-Macomber family over the last decades. I saw Scott, a dedicated Uncle, offering love and support at every turn, at every occasion. I learned of his love of the outdoors, his commitment to his work and witnessed his wonderful relationship with his son, Nathan. Simply said, Scott was a Fine Person. I send my heartfelt sympathy to his family while we grieve and honor him.
