Scott M. McClutchy, 36, of West Caldwell, passed away on August 23, 2025.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Avenue, Roseland, NJ 07068, shookfarmer.com. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Roseland, followed by interment at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, New Jersey.

Born and raised in West Caldwell, Scott was a lifelong resident whose presence filled every room with light, laughter, and joy. He graduated from James Caldwell High School and went on to attend the University of Rhode Island, where he majored in communications.

Scott had a deep love for sports and the outdoors. In high school, he played lacrosse, and throughout his youth he was dedicated to hockey, competing with several club teams. He enjoyed golf, snowboarding at Mountain Creek and in Vermont, surfing, riding dirt bikes, and spending summer days at the Jersey Shore and in Cape May. Adventure was at the heart of who he was, and he embraced every opportunity to live life to its fullest.

Above all, Scott treasured his role as a father to his beloved daughter, Charlotte Rose. Whether swimming together in the pool, riding bikes, or sharing simple moments of laughter, his love for her was constant and immeasurable.

Scott will be remembered for his extraordinary spirit; energetic, positive, and larger than life. He was loud and funny in the very best way, and his warmth and presence made him unforgettable to everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his cherished daughter, Charlotte Rose; his loving parents, Michael and Pamela McClutchy; his brother, Ryan McClutchy and his wife, Lisa; and his adored nephew, Mason. He also leaves behind many extended family members and countless friends who will hold his memory close.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Scott's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital stjude.org.

Though his time with us was far too brief, Scott's life was rich with love, friendship, and laughter. His legacy will live on in the joy he brought to others and the countless memories he created.
