Scott William Morin

1966 - 2022

Scott William Morin, 55, passed away on Oct. 1, 2022, at home. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Scott was born on Dec. 8, 1966 in New Britain to Gilman Morin and Marie-Louise Andros. Scott graduated from New Britain High School in 1984 then started his career, initially working for the City of New Britain Parks and Recreation as a groundskeeper, and went on to work as a Custodian at UCONN Storrs Campus for many years. Scott had a kind heart, filled with a love of animals, his nieces and nephews and friends, and a love of history and music; he would often play guitar with friends on a regular basis.
Scott was predeceased by his father Gilman D. Morin, and is survived by his mother, Marie-Louise Morin, a sister, Marie Gluszak and her husband John, a brother, David Morin and his wife Lori, five nieces and nephews, Jason DeConti and his wife Rachel, Maria DeConti and her husband Miro Celejewski, Diana DeConti and her husband Erik Johnson, John DeConti and his wife Amber, and Samantha Morin. Scott was also a great uncle to Wyatt, Logan and Asher DeConti, Nicholas and Amelie Celejewski, and Oliver Johnson, as well as several aunts, uncles and friends.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Scott's life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Baileys Funeral Home, 48 Broad Street, Plainville, CT 06062. Disposition will be a private family affair.
Memorial donations can be made in Scott's name to the Alzheimer's Association of Southington, 200 Executive Blvd S #4b, Southington, CT 06489. The Bailey Funeral Home of Plainville has been entrusted with Scott's arrangements.
